AUSSIE MUSCLE: EA-18G Growler And FA-18F Super Hornet …
This artwork from 2018, given by the company as a ‘farewell’ gift to a colleague who was leaving.
Astute viewers will note the tail insignia boomerang facing direction: as I recall, early Growler renders were with the “arrow” facing forward, then word came down to face them about (as they are ‘thrown’), and then lastly to turn the around yet again. Searching online will uncover images of real aircraft showcasing both states.
I super (no pun intended) enjoyed crafting this image, Tanja had no idea what was being put together but told me she loved it and that it still hangs in her office, somewhere out in the business wilds …
APOLOGIES! for the low-res image and reflections in the glass, it’s the best I have of this framed artwork!

The “FARE THEE WELL” Series - Over 2024-25 I reached out to a number of people who, over the years, have been in receipt of “farewell” artwork I was tasked with creating. Given that I’ve now ‘retired’, I’m able to showcase that work via their photos without any questions being asked.
