FLEET DEFENDER - THE MQ-28 GHOST BAT …

Circa early 2019, this concept workup was originally for the cover of Aviation Week magazine.

This artwork given by the company in farewell to: James Middleton and Shane Rogers. Both guys outstanding to work with, and I can credit Shane for me now having a very high regard for all things RAN! 

Astute observers will note a very tiny repositioning of assets compared to the original magazine cover render.

Astute viewers should also note a deliberate “error” introduced in the image for “artistic reasons” alone, I leave it to any aspiring keen eyes to notice and venture a guess. 

The two ships in view are the Canberra LHD and the ANZAC FFG class ships.

The “FARE THEE WELL” Series - Over 2024-25 I reached out to a number of people who, over the years, have been in receipt of “farewell” artwork I was tasked with creating. Given that I’ve now ‘retired’, I’m able to showcase that work via their photos without any questions being asked.
